AccuFin Services is hiring a Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Accountant based in Lebanon to join our remote team and support U.S.-based clients across a variety of industries.

This role is designed for an accounting professional with a strong understanding of the full accounting cycle who can independently manage assigned accounts, prepare and review complex accounting entries, oversee reconciliations and supporting schedules, and contribute to accurate month-end and year-end financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ownership of accounting responsibilities, identifying and resolving discrepancies, reviewing financial information for accuracy and completeness, and working directly with clients and senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and general ledger activities for assigned clients.
  • Prepare and post recurring, adjusting, and month-end journal entries.
  • Record and reconcile accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation, amortization, and other accounting adjustments.
  • Perform and review bank, credit card, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed supporting schedules and account analyses.
  • Lead or independently manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities for assigned accounts.
  • Review general ledger activity and financial records for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and related supporting documentation.
  • Investigate accounting discrepancies, identify root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Review work prepared by junior accounting team members and provide guidance when required.
  • Support accounting clean-up, catch-up, system migration, and data reconciliation projects.
  • Coordinate directly with clients regarding accounting questions, missing information, and financial reporting matters.
  • Support audit, tax, and other financial reporting requirements by preparing requested schedules and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready accounting records.
  • Ensure assigned accounting tasks and reporting deadlines are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Audit, Finance, or a related field.
      • 0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, audit, or finance experience.
      • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, debits and credits, and financial statements.
      • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, filtering, and data organization.
      • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is preferred.
      • Exposure to NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or other ERP systems is a plus.
      • Previous internship, bookkeeping, accounting, or audit experience is an advantage but not required.
      • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
      • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
      • Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
      • Good written and verbal communication skills.
      • Ability to work independently while following established procedures and guidance.
      • Flexibility with working hours when required.
      • CPA or CMA studies/certification are a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting U.S.-based clients or companies.
  • Previous experience in a corporate accounting, outsourced accounting, or professional services environment.
  • Experience independently managing accounting responsibilities for multiple clients or entities.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Experience reviewing the work of staff accountants, bookkeepers, or junior accounting team members.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with accounting clean-up, catch-up, system migrations, or large-scale reconciliation projects.
  • Experience preparing schedules and supporting documentation for external audits and tax reporting.
  • Experience working with multi-entity or multi-industry clients.
  • Exposure to management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis is a plus.
  • Experience communicating directly with clients and explaining accounting issues, discrepancies, and financial results.

Work Arrangement

  • Fully remote position.
  • Candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable remote working environment.
  • Working hours may need to overlap with the client’s business hours. (Eastern Time)
